Cesena coach Pierpaolo Bisoli is not taking his team’s upcoming clash with Palermo lightly despite the Rosanero’s recent struggles.

Both teams are currently back in Italian football’s top flight after winning promotion from Serie B last season, and are only divided by three points. However, while the visitors have at least won one fixture thus far, the Rosanero are still searching for their first win after their first six matches.

To that end, the former midfielder feels that despite the fact that their opponents are struggling, his squad will still have to be on their guard against a team desperate for a win, especially in front of their home fans.

“Palermo will definitely want to redeem themselves with a positive result,” he was quoted as saying by Cesena’s official Twitter feed.

“Hence, we will have to be ready and will have to play a good game of football. Our objective is to finish the season in a comfortable position but we need to be careful against Palermo. They’re hungry and will want to get their season going [with a win].

“[However], we still need to give time to [players like] Hugo Almeida to become adjusted to Italian football. But, all in all, the group is doing well and we’re feeling positive.”
