Atalanta coach Stefano Colantuono believed his side should have won more comfortably, after a late 1-0 victory over Parma.

Richmond Boakye netted in the 90th minute to take the three points, but Colantuono thinks the last gasp nature of the win was too close for comfort.

“We played a good game, but we just could not hit the back of the net,” the tactician told Radio Rai.

“It shows our weakness, the ball was in the penalty area but we could not score.

The 51-year-old Italian was also clear on why this was the case, lamenting his players.

“It was not down to the skill of the goalkeeper, but our own inaccuracy – we should have won by a greater margin,” he said.

It was only La Dea’s second win of the season, and on-loan Boakye’s second strike for Atalanta makes him their top scorer for the campaign so far.

“We did a lot of hard work, but only because we took so long to score.”

Colantuono’s side now travel to Udinese, having broken their streak of four defeats, without scoring, in a row.
