Chievo coach Eugenio Corini has said that conceding a goal early on against Roma made it hard to recover.

The Gialloblu lost 3-0 to the capital club at the Stadio Olimpico, and Corini was quick to say that conceding early on made it difficult for Chievo to recover.

“We conceded really quickly,” he told Voce Giallorossa. “It was very hard to recover against such a good side.

“After the first goal, they quickly made it 2-0 and finally 3-0.

“From that point onwards it became extremely complicated.”

Corini then went on to point out the difference between Juventus and Roma, saying that both sides are roughly at the same level.

“I think last season Juve were better Roma,” he said. “However, now I can say that they are at the same level.”

It is worth mentioning that Chievo’s upcoming game will be at home to Genoa on the 26th of October.
