Former Lazio forward Bernardo Corradi believes the impact of coach Stefano Pioli could push the Biancocelesti into the Champions League.
The ex-Italian international spent two seasons with the Aquile, and has been impressed by their start to the season with three consecutive wins having lifted the capital club to three points off third place in Serie A.
“When Lazio decided to appoint Pioli I said at once it was the right choice,” the 38-year-old told Radio IES.
“I’ve heard from and talked to former teammates, and they’ve all raved about the management of the dressing room and about the personal skills of Pioli.
“Fighting for third place will not be easy, because there are teams like Napoli who are well-equipped and used to fighting for these kind of goals, and having a coach at the level of [Rafa] Benitez is a bonus for them.
“The battle for third-place will involve Napoli, Lazio and Fiorentina, with AC Milan just behind.”
