Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado is set to extendhis contract with the Viola in the coming days as part of a long-term deal.

After months of speculation regarding the Colombian’s future, the talented forward is set to put pen to paper on a five year deal to remain with the Serie A outfit.

Gazzetta dello Sport reports that an agreement has been reached with the player and the club with regards to the 26-year-old’s wages, although it is understood that the deal will feature a buyout clause set at around €35 million.

The deal will see Cuadrado become one of the Viola’s highest paid stars with an annual salary of €4.25 million, in line with striker Mario Gomez and may deter bids from sides across the continent.

Cuadrado was linked with a summer move to Manchester United and Barcelona and the new deal will reinforce the Tuscan outfit’s financial grasp on the winger.

Cuadrado has been at Fiorentina since 2012 and was a member of Colombia’s 2014 World Cup squad in Brazil.
