AC Milan fullback Mattia De Sciglio has pledged his loyalty to the club, after speculation linking him to a move abroad.

The 22-year old has been rumoured to be on Real Madrid’s later, and while he is humbled by the links, he insists he is going nowhere.

“Real Madrid. No. One day I would love to captain Milan,” he told Corriere della Sera.

“I want to play for this club for many years, to demonstrate my qualities and to win trophies.

“If the rumours were true then I would be flattered, but I have other plans for the future.”

The Italian international also spoke of his admiration for former boss Massimlano Allegri for handing him his debut for the club.

“I have to thank Allegri, who helped me to grow and gave me an opportunity to play,” the defender continued.

“Compared to the other players in the youth system, I was lucky enough to make the leap straight from the youth team to the first team without going out on loan.”
