Eder believes Sampdoria’s o-0 draw with Roma on Saturday evening will lift the morale of the Ligurian side.
The Blucerchiati deserved their point and could have won it with a Stefano Okaka chance, though they also had to thank goalkeeper Sergio Romero who pulled off a wonder save late in the game.
“A draw against Roma raises the morale of the group, which is working hard and sacrificing a lot to achieve a common goal,” he told Rai Sport.
“We are delighted to have stopped Roma today. They are a very strong team, and played a very good match.
“Against Bayern [Munich] they got into some trouble, but they are not a team that suffers much.”
The draw leaves Sampdoria in third place, three points behind Roma, who themselves are a further three behind Juventus, who play Palermo on Sunday.
