Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Montella has hailed his side’s performance against Inter.

La Viola defeated the Nerazzurri 3-0 at the Stadio Artemio Franchi on Sunday night, and the ex-Roma striker was quick to praise the way his side played.

“The team did really well,” he told Mediaset. “They pressed intensely, and their end product was good, which is a sign of a maturing side.

“I am also happy that we did this playing attacking football.

The Fiorentina coach then went on to say that his side can go far, only if they play without pressure.

“This team can go really far but they mustn’t let pressure get to them, and we try to do that.”

Montella then went on to praise youngsters Khouma Babacar and Federico Bernardeschi, whilst also speaking about his relationship with Inter coach Walter Mazzarri.

“Mazzarri? After the game we said goodbye to each other,” he said. “We also talked before the game.

“Bernardeschi and Babacar are young talents that have to be managed well in order to get the best out of them.”
