Fiorentina pair Mario Gomez and Juan Cuadrado are battling to be fit in time to face Inter at the Stadio Artemio Franchi on Sunday evening.

Both players missed last weekend’s draw at Torino and will also be unavailable to play against Dinamo Minsk in Thursday night’s Europa League match.

Il Corriere Fiorentino reports that the Colombian and German internationals are working hard to be fit to face the Nerazzurri, but Cuadrado is the more likely of the two to be ready in time.

The 26-year-old has been suffering from tendinitis and will miss the game with the Belarusians as a precaution in hope of being fit for the Inter clash.

Gomez however is unlikely to return until the game with Lazio on October 19 after picking up a thigh problem in the recent 1-0 win at Atalanta.

The former Bayern Munich man is yet to open his account this term, and missed the majority of the last campaign with a knee injury.
