Adriano Galliani is delighted with the recent performances of AC Milan midfielder Keisuke Honda.
The Japanese international scored a stunning free kick as Milan beat Chievo 2-0 at the San Siro on Saturday night and Galliani was full of praise for Milan’s number ten.
“”Honda is a great player,” Galliani told reporters after the game.
“Last year he found it difficult coming from a different league and suffering from injuries.
“Honda is now crucial for us, he is very, very good especially technically.
“Today is an important step for this team.
“If we had won against Empoli and Cesena would be in a very good shape.
“We are in the chasing group behind Juventus and Roma.
“What is impressive with this team is the unity among the side.
Galliani also gave an update on Milan midfielder Riccardo Montolivio, who has been out injured since the end of May.
“Riccardo should be back by the end of November.
“At the end of October he will have a final examination, which will gives us a precise comeback date.
“There is a chance that he may be back for the derby.”
