Roma coach Rudi Garcia said after the draw with Sampdoria that his team was missing some finishing ability in front of goal.

The Giallorossi drew 0-0 in their latest Serie A fixture against the Blucerchiati but the Roma coach believed that his team was capable of winning the match.

“On this pitch it is difficult to put speed into the play,” Garcia told Sky Sport Italia. “We had chances but the efficiency was missing.

“At 20 shots, we got, on occasion, the sight of winning three points. We obtained a point in the home of the third-placed team playing our football.”

Garcia was satisfied with the performance of Roma captain Francesco Totti, who managed to play 77 minutes.

“He helps a lot. He allows the squad to have 65 per cent of possession [and] he missed a bit of fortune there with the post in the first half,” said Garcia.

“On a physical level, he is doing well [and] we saw him run quite a lot also in defence.”
