Roma coach Rudi Garcia says he believes midfielder Kevin Strootman will return in time for the Giallorossi’s clash against Manchester City on December 10.
The 24 year old Dutch international suffered a long-term injury in February and has not kicked a ball since, but Garcia hopes to have him back before the end of the year.
“We hope he will be available for the home game against City on December 10, which is a vital match,” Garcia told reporters after the Champions League clash against City on Tuesday evening as reported by vocegiallorossa.it.
“Kevin is a midfielder of a very high level and we are waiting for his return. Hopefully he will be back.
“Is Strootman for sale? You should ask our president, but the intent of the club is very clear: he is an important player for us.”
Strootman scored four goals in 29 appearances for the Giallorossi last season.
