Genoa midfielder Juraj Kucka will miss an unspecified period of time on the sidelines after struggling to overcome a knee injury.
The 27-year-old was absent from Monday night’s 1-1 draw with Empoli due to suffering soreness in his left patellar tendon.
Reports suggest the Slovakian international picked up the injury while on duty for his national team in the recent 2016 UEFA European qualifiers.
Kucka’s last Serie A appearance came against arch-rivals Sampdoria in the Derby della Lanterna three weeks ago.
