Inter forward Mauro Icardi has revealed he felt a lot of pressure when he stepped up to convert a stoppage time penalty to give the Nerazzurri victory over Sampdoria.

This was the second time in as many games in which Icardi has converted from the spot to earnĀ Inter victory.

“Taking a penalty in the 91st minute is very different taking one earlier in a game as there is a lot of pressure on you in the final minute,” the 21-year-old revealed in an interview with Inter Channel.

“Scoring a penalty to win a game give you great satisfaction and I am focused on reaching double figures this season.

“I am interested inĀ the goals that really matter.”

The Argentinian went on to discuss Saturday evening’s encounter with Parma.

“We have not looked at the standingsm but last year we won in Parma in the last minute and it was a tough match,” he said.

“We go into the match with confidence due to the hard work we have put in this week.

“It will be a beautiful encounter with the fans so close to the pitch”
