Mihajlovic - SampdoriaInter and Napoli are reportedly prepared to compete for the services of current Sampdoria boss Sinisa Mihajlovic at the end of the season.

The Nerazzurri are supposedly looking to replace Walter Mazzarri after the club’s inconsistent start to the season, while the Partenopei have grown dissatisfied with Rafa Benitez after the tactician failed to lead the club into the Champions League group stage, and it seems both Italian teams are impressed with what Mihajlovic has done with the Blucerchiati this campaign thus far.

According to Il Secolo XIX, Sampdoria are now focused on keeping the Serbian coach and will be looking to extend his contract, which is currently set to expire in June 2015, in order to convince him to turn down offers from either of the bigger clubs.

Reports have also suggested that Napoli may be interested in signing Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Montella ahead of the 2015-16 season instead, which would give Inter an advantage in the fight for Mihajlovic.

The 45-year-old, who is apparently yet to be contacted by the San Paolo outfit or the Biscione, has helped La Samp remain undefeated in their first six matches of the 2014-15 Serie A season which has seen the team take third place in the league standings.
