Inter boss Walter Mazzarri believes that opponents Parma will put up a fight when his team travel to the Stadio Ennio Tardini on Saturday night.

The Nerazzurri have just started gaining some sort of momentum this season having won their previous two games in the Serie A, thereby cooling down the intense speculations surrounding Mazzarri’s future at the club.

“Parma are a good team and have collected less points than they deserved this season,” Mazzarri told the press.

“When you face teams in their home stadiums it is never easy, but I am confident in our strengths and we will continue to do what we have done in the last three games.”

The former Napoli coach also responded to the incessant boos at the San Siro for the recent Serie A matches.

“I’m not counting the boos. But I’m always sure that such external things do not affect the performance of the boys.

“We are in a democracy and we must respect the ideas of all. Do not mention it further.”

Mazzarri then lamented on his side’s worsening injury crises with Brazilian midfielder Hernanes facing a race against time to be fit for the weekend.

“We are now trying to get Hernanes back, but I do not know if I will have him available in time. Also, [Hugo] Campagnaro is out and we have more uncertainties now than during the last game.”

The 53-year-old then spoke his mind on the lack of goals for centre forward Rodrigo Palacio, who is yet to open his goal scoring account for the season.

“Rodrigo has to feel comfortable and play for the team, and when he least expects he will put the ball into the goal. I’ve said the same thing to Cavani, as I have repeated to all the strikers I’ve had to work with. ”

A win against Parma will give Walter Mazzarri his third consecutive victory for the season and go miles in improving the dressing room milieu.

“We have to think of improving ourselves and avoid this alternation of results. Now our thoughts turn to Parma and only to Parma. Then I’ll think of Saint-Etienne,” he continued.

The Inter coach then heaped praise on this season’s revelation, Juan Jesus whilst also providing an insight on the injuries suffered by Pablo Osvaldo and Yuto Nagatomo.

“I think he [Juan Jesus] has improved a lot. He has a very good physicality and that allows him to play all the time.

“The doctors tell me that there is a glimmer of hope for both Osvaldo and Nagatomo to be ready in time for the Europa League.”

The Nerazzurri are currently eighth in the Serie A table on 15 points, with just four wins so far.
