Despite an uninspiring goalless draw against Saint-Etienne on Thursday night at the San Siro Inter coach Walter Mazzarri insisted that it was an important point earned against the French sideand was vital in cementing their place at the top of Group F.

Yet to concede in this seasons’ Europa League the Ligue 1 club proved tough for the Nearzzurri to breakdown as they struggled to find opening and only really tested goalkeeper Stephane Ruffier towards the end of the match.

“I’m happy with a draw that underpins first place in the group, but we do not forget that we have problems,” Mazzarri told Mediaset Premium.

“M’Vila was hurt, Medel as well yesterday. It was a good match, but we have made a step forward in the group.

“Of course I always like to win, but in Europe we are going well.”
