Inter are preparing a bid to bring Portuguese defender Rolando back to the club in the January transfer window.

The centre back, who has failed to be named in a game day squad this season due to a contract dispute, played for the Italian side last season while on loan from Porto.

SportMediaset reports that Inter will go ahead with a bid to sign the Portuguese player, sacrificing former Napoli player Hugo Campagnaro in order make space for the defender.

The 29 year old enjoyed a successful campaign with the Nerazzurri becoming a starter in the side immediately.

The Portuguese international, who has been frozen out of the Porto side since mid 2012, was expecting Inter to exercise their option to buy him, but the deal failed to materialise.

The Milanese side are now hopeful that a cheaper price will be made available to them and that the defender may reunite with his former team.
