Inter’s draw at home against Napoli on Sunday night in Serie A has urged the management to make early preparations for the January transfer window.

Though the strategies outlined by the Nerazzurri earlier in the season remain unchanged, the names in question have become clearer over the past few weeks.

La Domenica Sportiva reports that the Stadio Meazza outfit will pursue Porto defender Rolando, who spent the entirety of last season on loan under Walter Mazzarri, and that his return could be secured without any obstructions as soon as the market opens in January.

While Inter are preparing a two-year deal for the Portuguese centre half, Hugo Campagnaro is expected to wave goodbye to the Biscione in order to free up space and keep the wage bill in check.

The 2010 UEFA Champions League winners are also interested in Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk’s fluid attacking sensation Yevhen Konoplyanka, whose contract with the Ukrainian outfit runs out in June 2015. However, Erick Thohir’s troops are expected to face stiff competition from other suitors for his signature.

Meanwhile, reinforcements in midfield are also anticipated as Fredy Guarin may leave the club, with Hoffenheim trequartista Roberto Firmino tipped to replace the Colombian.

Another player that has caught the attention of several Serie A sides including the Nerazzurri is Atalanta midfielder Daniele Baselli.

The Inter board allegedly believes that the Italian starlet provides a long-term solution for the centre of the park, and Thohir has already flashed the green light to seal the deal next summer, with La Dea demanding 6 million for the transfer.
