Inter are ready to battle Lazio for the services of Eintracht Frankfurt defender Carlos Zambrano in the January transfer window.
The 25 year old Peruvian international has been a solid performer for the Bundesliga side since joining from St Pauli in 2012, and has alerted several elite clubs around Europe with his performances.
Fussballtransfers.com report that with Zambrano’s contract expiring at the end of the season, Inter and Lazio are confident of securing a cut-price deal for the left sided defender.
The Serie A duo will have to face competition from Liverpool and Sevilla as well, with both clubs keen on enticing Zambrano to their respective clubs.
