Inter target and Portuguese defender Rolando could be set for a January move to Queens Park Rangers.

The Premier League team sit bottom of the table, and will look to reinforce in the next transfer window with the former Inter man a transfer target.

The Mirror reports that QPR have identified Rolando as a potential replacement for veteran defender Rio Ferdinand who is being linked with a January departure.

The Giuseppe Meazza is already a familiar surrounding to the Porto player, who spent last season on loan at Inter while making 29 appearances and scoring four goals.

The Nerazzurri are keen to bring the Portuguese defender back tot he club, however newly-promoted side QPR are notorious for offering signings large salaries, which could tempt the 29-year-old into a move to England.

Rolando started his career at Belenenses in Portugal, and has had loan spells at Serie A clubs Inter and Napoli in recent years.
