Walter Mazzarri has been bullish over recent rumors calling for his head, as the pressure over his precarious position as Inter coach has been mounting.

Inter are currently ninth in Serie A, six points behind the final UEFA Champions League spot, but the former Napoli coach assured that he doesn’t fear his job.

“If I remember correctly there were also crisis points last year,” Mazzarri said. “But I know what my job is, and I just focus on the next game, it gives me strength and serenity.

“All my energy is spent on making the players better for next game.

“Have I failed Thohir? Well of course I am not happy about the Cagliari and Fiorentina losses but after many changes there may be a period when things do not go as well.

“Football is not an exact science; we have to go back to being more competitive.”

There have been many rumors hinting that Mazzarri’s job is in danger in recent weeks, with rum0urs suggesting that former Manchester United and Everton coach David Moyes is set to replace the tactician.
