Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi has criticized the manner in which the football stadiums in the country have been using people’s money to pay for the law enforcement agencies they engage.

Renzi spoke through Twitter, condemning the action of the people involved in this process.

“The outside law enforcement agencies engaged in the stadiums must be paid by the football club, not by the citizens.” wrote the 39-year-old in his Twitter account.

He instead insisted on the football clubs themselves paying for such expenses from their own coffers.

This has been widely debated issue now brought to light by the Prime Minister as the football grounds in Italy have started charging high prices for tickets in recent times.
