Italy moves two places in latest FIFA rankings

Conte - Norway v ItalyAntonio Conte’s Italy have climbed 11th in the FIFA world rankings after coming off the back of recent wins over Malta and Azerbaijan.

The Azzurri, with 1064 points, moved up two places, ahead of Switzerland and Chile, to capture 11th spot.

Italy were ranked ninth before heading to the World Cup this summer, however a disastrous showing saw them drop down to four year low of 14th rank this July.

World Cup winners Germany still holds the top spot, followed by Argentina and Colombia in second and third spots, respectively.

Belgium moved up one place to reach fourth and the Dutch fell one place down to fifth spot. Brazil are sixth, France seventh, while Uruguay fell two places to eighth.

The top ten is completed by Portugal in ninth followed by Spain in 10th.
