Juventus have reportedly identified two defensive targets for the January transfer window.
Centre- back Andrea Barzagli has yet to make an appearance this season after surgery on his right heel over the summer, while wing-back Stephan Lichtsteiner is out of contract at the end of the season and has been linked with a move to Arsenal.
SportMediaset claims that Udinese’s Thomas Heurtaux has been identified as a replacement for Barzagli and that Sassuolo’s Sime Vrsaljko is seen as the ideal alternative to Lichtsteiner should he leave Turin.
Heurtaux’s form this season has seen him pushing for a call-up to the French national team and he has recently impressed in a defensive midfield position as well as at the heart of the defence.
22-year-old Vrsaljko has made 9 appearances at right wing-back for Croatia and was linked with AC Milan before opting to leave Genoa for Sassuolo in the summer.
