Juventus and Spain striker Fernando Llorente has been caught up in a tax evasion row in his native country.

The 29-year-old is suspected to have evaded taxes on his image rights payments, which the Spanish government by law claims its share of.

According to Mundo Deportivo, players like Iker Casillas, Sergio Ramos, Xavi, Gerard Pique, Xabi Alonso, Carles Puyol and David Villa are also being investigated over claims that they did the same thing as Llorente.

Reports claim that considering the salaries of those involved, over the whole period of the evasion, the Spanish government could be counting huge losses of income.

Llorente has been capped 24 times by Spain’s senior side, last scoring in October 2010.
