It has emerged that Juventus are on the lookout for another defender with Atletico Madrid’s Diego Godin being one of the targets.

The Uruguayan international, who’s goal knocked Italy out of this year’s World Cup, is being targeted by the Bianconeri to add depth to the defence with injuries to Andrea Barzagli and Martin Caceres leaving Giorgio Chiellini, Angelo Ogbonna and Leonardo Bonnuci as the only recognized central defenders in the squad.

According to Sportmediaset, the Turin giants will look to make a move for the 28-year-old in January, but could also turn their attentions to Antonio Rudiger from German club Stuttgart, should Godin prove to be too expensive.

Godin has made seven appearances in La Liga this season, and has a contract with the Madrid club until June 2018.
