kasami olimpiacosOlympiacos midfielder Pajtim Kasami credits the nulling of Juventus’ star trio for their victory over the Italian champions.

The former Palermo youngster was the only scorer on the night in the 1-0 win in Greece as the Bianconeri fall to third in the Champions League Group A table.

“We knew Juventus were a team full of quality, they’re the strongest team in Italy,” he told Sky Sport Italia post match.

“Often those who break the deadlock first then manage to win the game. My goal was enough to land us the victory.”

The Greek side pressed their opponents for large portions of the game giving Juventus’ midfield very few options.

“Our objective was to remain compact without making any mistakes,” the Switzerland international continued.

“We also curbed the undisputed quality of [Andrea] Pirlo, [Arturo] Vidal and [Paul] Pogba,” he concluded.

Olympiacos have now beaten both Juventus and Atletico Madrid in the Champions League at home this season.
