Inter midfielder Rene Krhin felt that the Nerazzurri secured a valuable point in the Europa League against Saint-Etienne on Thursday night but believed the Milan based club performed well enough to deserve victory.

The 24-year-old Slovenian international spent the majority of the match watching from the sidelines but was pleased when he did finally enter the field with a few minutes left to play, with Inter trying to snatch a winner.

“It is definitely a very important point,” Krhin told the press.

“We knew that the French side were good. We have played well and were moving the ball well, and maybe we could have scored a few goals.

“This evening there was a lovely atmosphere with fans passionate on both sides. I’m glad to have been included and played.”
