Lazio boss Stefano Pioli has stated that he is content with his side after their 1-1 draw with Hellas Verona on Thursday evening.
The Aquile had their superb winning run ended after Luca Toni equalized with a second half penalty, cancelling out Senad Lulic’s opener in the first half.
“We played a good game, it may seem strange but I liked the way the team played tonight more than they did on Sunday,” Pioli told Sky Sport Italia.
“We probably could have had a little more determination to close the game in the second half.
“[The race for third place] We are one of many. There will be at least eight to nine teams that will battle for the top five places, and Lazio is showing that we can be one of them.”
