Ilicic - AC Milan v FiorentinaLeeds United are weighing up a loan move for out of favour Fiorentina ace Josip Ilicic.

Despite the departure of Darko Milanic, who had worked with the Slovenian international briefly at Maribor in 2010. It remains to be seen if new manager Nigel Redfearn or owner Massimo Cellino decide to continue any pursuit of the player.

Ilicic could be allowed to leave Stadio Artemio Franchi on loan according to TuttoMercatoWeb. Elland Road could be a suitable destination for Ilicic to increase his game time, with Leeds languishing in 18th place in the English Championship and short of quality in midfield.

The 26-year-old midfielder joined La Viola from Palermo in 2013 for €9 million. However he has found his chances limited this season only starting three times in Serie A so far.

German outfit Freiburg are also thought to hold an interest in the player, with ongoing overtures from Sassuolo who tried to sign him in the summer.
