Lazio president Claudio Lotito believes the current Aquilotti squad is the strongest one the club has had in the past 10 years.
The Biancocelesti may have gotten off to a bumpy start this season, but the 57-year-old is still happy with the progress he has seen from both the players and coaches and is maintaining a positive outlook for the remainder of the 2014-15 campaign.
Lotito spoke to reporters on Thursday about his confidence in Lazio and praised the capital city club’s Primavera program, as the youth squad just won this season’s Supercoppa Primavera on October 1.
“The squad set up to deal with this current season is definitely the strongest one we’ve had in the last 10 years,” said the Lazio chief.
“The technical staff is working very well. The defeats in the league have been completely episodic, but we know our football.
“And yesterday the Supercoppa Primavera victory, after doing well in the league and winning the Coppa Italia Primavera last season, has shown this club’s particular attention to the development of our youth.”
