Luca Antonini’s wife has criticised Massimiliano Allegri for failing to build a relationship with the Genoa defender during the pairs time at AC Milan.
Benedetta Balleggi, who has been with Antonini since his time in Serie C, claims that the former Rossoneri coach lacked the man management skills needed to support the defender.
”Luca normally gets along with everyone so I don’t know what happened to his relationship with Allegri,” she told RTL 102.5.
“The coach did not understand him on a human level, he did not get to know him personally.”
Signora Balleggi believes that this aproach would always fail with her husband.
”Luca is a person who needs to have a strong, personal relationship with his coach, with his team mates too. Perhaps Allegri was not able to provide this.”
Antonini recently scored a late winner against his former coach’s Juventus side as Genoa ran out 1-0 winners. Antonini, who came on as a substitute in the 81st minute, joined the Rossoblu from Milan in the Summer of 2013.
