It’s a new day for Chievo after the appointment of ex-Catania coach Rolando Maran who spoke of his new adventure after being presented to the press.

Alongside the new coach was his president Luca Campadelli who wanted to explain his decision to dismiss the previous incumbant Eugenio Corini.

“The responsibility was divided, a third to the coach, a third to the club and a third to the players,” Campadelli told the press.

Former Chievo player Maran also expressed his feelings on his role at his new club.

“It was an emotional signing because of my history here, I wont talk about the previous coach but I know what it feels like to be on the other side,” Maran said.

“I spoke to Euginio Corini and I dedicate a thought to him.

“We need the warrior spirit, Chievo cannot be separated from their courage and aggressiveness.”

Chievo are currently 18th in Serie A.
