Chievo coach Rolando Maran felt his side deserved at least a point from their 1–0 defeat at the hands of Palermo on Wednesday evening at the Stadio Renzo Barbera.
The Rosanero picked up a valuable three points courtesy of Luca Rigoni’s 82nd minute goal, but Maran was happy with the Chievo performance.
“It’s a shame because today we deserved to take home some points,” said Maran in the post-match press conference to Mediagol.it.
“The Rigoni goal ruined it all.
“My guys wanted the three points, and they deserved it.
“The performance, however, I can say that it was good for us.”
The defeat leaves Chievo in 19th position in the Serie A table, with four points from nine games.
