Inter coach Walter Mazzarri said that his Nerazzurri side crushed Sampdoria despite only beating the Blucerchiati 1-0.

Mazzarri’s team needed a late penalty to finally give Sampdoria their first loss of the season but the Inter coach was happy with his team’s style of play.

“Today we had a great game from the point of view of play, often crushing Samp who had been undefeated,” Mazzarri told Sky Sport Italia.

“We created many chances on goal but we couldn’t make them count. When we win, there is less to manage [but] I have no problems. I am happy for my players.”

Mazzarri’s job has been under threat recently and he was booed at the game. The Inter coach remained unfazed however due to this  latest result and performance.

“Everyone can have their say … We accept [the whistling].

“We are happy with these guys who give their soul [and] were exhausted but today they played great football.”
