Roma defender Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa was pleased the Giallorossi did not concede despite being held 1-1 by Sampdoria on Saturday night in Serie A action.

The Giallorossi were held to a single point which brings them level with Juventus, though the Bianconeri are set to play Palermo on Sunday, and the Frenchman was adamant his side are on the right path.

“Right result? We got a point. I think the most important thing was that we did not concede,” he stated while speaking to Roma TV.

“In the end it was a good result, we will move forward.

“Clash with [Stefano] Okaka? He is very physical and I like to play against physical strikers. Today was an important match.

“How do I like Roma? It is a great squad, a great city and great fans. We must continue on like this.”
