AC Milan forward Jeremy Menez has revealed that he’s grateful for the confidence that the Diavolo have shown in him since his arrival, which is why he has been able to perform so well this season.

The 27-year-old, who joined the Rossoneri from Paris Saint-Germain in June, has scored three goals in his six Serie A appearances thus far and he attributes his impressive showings on the pitch to his relationship with coach Filippo Inzaghi, a type of relationship he admits he had failed to develop with PSG boss Laurent Blanc.

Menez spoke to Canal Plus about the struggles he faced during his last season with the Ligue 1 side and commented on his newly found passion for football since arriving at AC Milan.

“I think the last season I spent in Paris was the worst of my career,” said the Frenchman. “I was not a favourite of Blanc and I would have liked to speak to him more.

“That’s why the meeting with Inzaghi and Adriano Galliani was decisive. Milan have shown confidence in me from the beginning.

“Here I have the opportunity to rediscover the pleasure of playing football.”
