Sampdoria coach Sinisa Mihajlovic said that a draw against Roma on Saturday night was a fair result for his team.
The Blucerchiati drew 0-0 with the Giallorossi in their Week 8 Serie A fixture and Mihajlovic was content with his team’s ability to stop Gervinho and Alessandro Florenzi from scoring.
“For the first quarter of an hour, we pressed ultra-offensively to search for the goal that would have sent them into confusion,” Mihajlovic told Sky Sport Italia.
“At the end the draw is fair, also if perhaps at points we can complain about something.
“They had a chance [to score] with Gervinho when [Daniele] Gastaldello slipped and then that one from Florenzi but my boys were great.
“We made that jump in quality mentally and we can deal with everything with our characteristics at our home.
“We adapt a little to the opponent, we play our game, and the boys were good at pressing them high.”
