Riccardo Montolivo has stated that his time spent on the AC Milan sidelines is almost over.
Montolivo suffered a broken leg while playing for Italy during an international friendly against Ireland in May. The midfielder did not participate in this year’s World Cup and has not competed with Milan during the current Serie A season.
“We must evaluate how the bone has healed, but we are almost at the end,” he explained to the press.
Montolivo has been captain of Milan since 2013 and has earned 58 caps playing for the Italian national team.
