Napoli continue to look for defensive reinforcements and their latest target is said to be Ajax captain Niklas Moisander.
The Partenopei have struggled defensively in Serie A this season and have kept just two clean sheets in their opening seven fixtures and the 29-year-old Finland international is seen as the ideal candidate to bolster their defence.
Moisander is a centre back by trade, however he can ply his trade on the right and according to SportMediaset the Partenopei are keen to sign the player in January and Ajax could be tempted into selling as his contract expires at the end of the season.
The experienced defender has played virtually his entire career in the Netherlands and he is currently in his second stint with Ajax having had spells with FC Zwolle and AZ.
