Obiang - SampdoriaNapoli are reportedly looking to land Sampdoria midfielder Pedro Obiang during the upcoming January transfer window.

The 22-year-old, who has been linked with a move to the Partenopei a number of times in the past, is once again thought to be a main target of the Neapolitan side as they look to strengthen their line up this winter after an inconsistent start to the season.

According to Il Mattino, Napoli boss Rafa Benitez has grown incredibly fond of the steadily improving Spaniard and feels he would be a good fit at the San Paolo outfit.

However, La Samp coach Sinisa Mihajlovic could be unwilling to sell the midfielder after the Blucerchiati’s strong run in the opening weeks of the campaign which means the Azzurri would have to present a considerable offer for the growing talent’s services.

Obiang, who spent some time in Sampdoria’s youth program before beginning his professional career with the club in 2010, has scored one goal and provided one assist in his seven Serie A appearances this season thus far.
