Fiorentina goalkeeper Norberto Neto has apparently hit a snag over a release clause.
The 25 year old put in a string of good performances already this year and has cemented his place as La Viola’s number one.
According to Radio Blu, representatives of the Brazilian goalkeeper have agreed with the club on a figure of about €1.2 million per year in terms of salary.
However one sticking point that is preventing the contract negotiations being concluded, the two parties cannot agree on the figure for a release clause.
Fiorentina want to increase the figure from its current level of €10m, whereas Neto would like it reduced to a lower figure.
Neto, who has been linked with Liverpool as a replacement Simon Mignolet, has made eight Serie A appearances this season, conceding on five occasions.
