AC Milan newboy Giacomo Bonaventura has reiterated his desire to win silverware while with the Rossoneri.

Although the former Atalanta midfielder took his time to settle at the San Siro, he is now looking forward to success with Filippo Inzaghi’s side.

The 25 year old spoke to Forza Milan and admitted his initial difficulties.

“It was like being on the moon,” he conceded of his early training sessions, “then as well as colleagues, I realised that this is a squad of professionals with a strong work ethic.”

“It is a wonderful environment,” he went on, “and the immediately made me feel like one of them.”

The childhood Milan fan also described his debut for the Diavolo in glowing terms.

“The match went beyond all my expectations,” he enthused, “scoring in my first game in a Milan shirt was the best thing that could happen. And it happened.”

He went on to describe his hopes for the future both for the club and himself.

“[My objective is] to win at least one trophy,” he stated, “possibly a cup. As for the national team, it’s a dream for everyone. I’d love to play at a World Cup or a European Championship.”

Bonaventure has made six appearances since his move to Milan, scoring that solitary debut goal.
