Angelo Palombo took great heart from his side’s 0-0 draw against Roma at home on Saturday night as he thinks it proves just how good his side are.

As a result of that stalemate, the Blucerchiati remain unbeaten in Serie A and Palombo was in great spirits as he spoke to the press afterwards.

“We stood up well against the team who, along with Juventus, are the strongest in the league,” the midfielder told Mediaset Premium. “We prepared very well for the match against Roma.

“At the beginning of the season, our aim was to improve ourselves and dream together. It is a very young team but it is important to have the right desire.”

He added: “I think for Roma, the Bayern beating will leave a mark but they are great players and will stand up and be counted.”

Speaking more specifically about the 90 minutes, he was most satisfied with the work rate shown by all of his players all over the field.

“We ran a lot and did not create too much in front of goal but neither did Roma. Our strikers gave a big help to the midfield and that was important.

“It was a hardworking performance so we will enjoy this moment,” he concluded. “It is right to dream but we will keep our feet on the ground and maintain the right mindset.”
