Parma host Inter at the Stadio Tardini on Saturday evening in Serie A hoping to haul themselves off the bottom of the table and stop there opponents from the San Siro making it a hat-trick of wins in the league.

The Gialloblu sit at the foot of the Serie A standings after nine rounds of the season having lost their last six games in a row as the pressure continues to mount on coach Roberto Donadoni. Inter on the other hand have won their last two fixtures in a row with narrow 1-0 victories over Cesena and Sampdoria courtesy of penalties by Mauro Icardi on both occasions.

Parma have lost all four home fixtures at the Tardini this season suffering defeats against Milan, Roma, Genoa and Sassuolo conceding 12 goals in the process. The Nerazzurri’s away form has been noting to write home about either as they have only recorded one win in four fixtures away from the San Siro with that coming against Cesena last weekend.

The two sides have met on 20 occasions in the past ten seasons with Walter Mazzarri’s men holding the upper hand with 11 victories and five draws with Parma coming out on top on four occasions, which have all come at the Tardini and gives the home side a glimmer of hope as three of them victories have come since the 2010/2011 season.

Last seasons game at the Tardini though ended in a 2-0 win for Inter with Fredy Guarin and Rolando getting on the score-sheet after Antonio Cassano missed a first half penalty for the home side which also saw Gabriel Paletta sent off.

Parma head in to the game with defender Alessandro Lucarelli suspended while Paletta, French midfielder Jonathan Biabiany , Cristobal Jorquera and forward Raffaele Palladino are all still doubtful for the game. Defender Mattia Cassani is not expected back for another few weeks.

Inter could make just one change for the game on Saturday evening with Brazilian Hernanes a doubt after limping out of the clash with Sampdoria on Wednesday and could be replaced with Serbian Zdravko Kuzmanovic in midfield. Danilo D’Ambrosio, Yann M’Vila and Pablo Osvaldo remain longer term absentees.

Expected Starting X1’s

Inter: Handanovic, Ranocchia, Vidic, Juan Jesus, Obi, Kuzmanovic, Kovacic, Medel, Dodo, Icardi, Palacio
