Paul Pogba agrees contract extension with Juventus

The 21 year old Frenchman has become a key player for Juventus since joining on a free transfer from Manchester United and he is considered one of the most promising young talents in world football.

As a result, Pogba has been attracting admiring looks from clubs outside of Italy and Juventus were eager to agree a new contract in order to ward off unwanted attention.

“Yes, we met with [Giuseppe] Marotta and we decided that we will renew the contract of Paul. Now is the right time to do it,” Raiola told Tuttosport.

“We are happy with the situation that has arisen. The deal is not over yet and knowing me it could take a long time. But with Juventus we have a basic arangement which has been agreed.”

Pogba’s previous deal was due to expire in 2016.
