Genoa goalkeeper Mattia Perin has praised his team’s performance against Italian champions Juventus.
The Rossoblu secured a last minute win against the Bianconeri, after Luca Antonini tapped in following an Alessandro Matri assist.
Goalkeeper Perin, spoke to the press following the victory, praising the defensive efforts of the team.
“It was great to win against Juventus and [Gianluigi] Buffon. It was an unexpected victory against the Italian champions.
“We defended well against a very strong team so congratulations to the boys and all the staff.”
The young goalkeeper then commented on the speculation of dressing room unrest that has surrounded the team in the past few weeks.
“In recent weeks I’ve heard news about our group that are far from true. In these two games we have demonstrated, that we are a united team.”
