Primavera 2014/2015 – Round 3: Fiorentina, Inter, Roma, and Bari maintain winning starts

Round 3 of the 2014/2015 Primavera season saw Fiorentina and Inter claim top spots in Group A and B respectively, with both Roma and Bari maintaining their perfect start in Group C.

La Viola left it late against Genoa, with Filippo Bandinelli’s lone goal deciding the game only ten minutes from time.On the other hand, Juventus managed to to give away a two goal lead against rock bottom Trapani. The Bianconeri took the lead through Cypriot Grigoris Kastanos and Paul Udoh before the Granata scored twice in the final 15 minutes to prevent La Vecchia Signora from a third successive win.

Elsewhere in Group A, Sampdoria and last year’s runners-up Torino managed to bridge the gap between them and Fiorentina by beating Sampdoria and Varese respectively.

Pro Vercelli on the other hand played out a goalless stalemate against Virtus Entella, while Spezia and Carpi defeated Modena and Parma respectively.

In Group B, Inter managed to overcome Udinese to go top of the group courtesy of two goals from George Puscas and Zapata whilst Pescara took their tally to 7 points with a 3-1 win over Perugia.

In other news, Arthur Yamga’s hat-trick against Cesena won champions Chievo their sixth point of the season, whilst AC Milan managed to make it two wins from two games with their win over Brescia courtesy of Ivan De Santis and Davide Di Molfetta’s strikes.

Sassuolo left it late against Cittadella but managed to prevail in the end by winning 2-0, while Salifu Alimeyaw’s strike in the opening minute gave Hellas Verona their maiden win of the season.

Bottom of Group B Virtus Lanciano received a drubbing at the hands of Atalanta who managed a 4-0 win courtesy of a Giacomo Parigi brace and a goal each from Gabriel Lunetta and Nicolas Napol.

Roma and Bari continued their perfect start to the 2014/2015 season with wins over Catania and Lazio respectively. The Giallorossi managed a 3-0 win over Catania courtesy of goals from Daniele Verde, Edoardo Soleri, and an own goal from Agatino Parisi.

On the other hand, Bari came back from behind to defeat Lazio 2-1 thanks to a brace from Vito Leonetti,

Frosinone claimed a hard-fought away win against Avellino to take their tally to six points, whilst Napoli played out a 1-1 draw against Palermo.

Livorno, Latina, and Crotone allĀ got their first wins of the season by defeating Ternana, Empoli, and Vicenza respectively. The Amaranto and the Pitagorici both won with a score of 3-2, whilst Latina overcame Empoli 2-0 in the early kick-off.
