Fabio Quagliarella has been quick to refute any suggestions that he regrets leaving Juventus for city rivals Torino, after he scored the only goal of the game for his sides home win over another of his former clubs, Udinese.

Quagliarella struck with a 62nd minute header to secure the Granata all three points as they moved up to twelfth in the standings.

“I try to do my duty and always my first priority is to try to and score goals in order to secure victory,” the 31 year old told Sky Sports Italia after the match.

“Udinese are a strong team and they made us suffer. I have a nice memories of Udine.”

Juventus director Fabio Paratici was also  in the stands during the match between Udinese and Torino.

“I said hello, we are friends,” Quagliarella said.

“No, I do not think that I regret leaving Juve. The more time passes, the more you know. Things are going well and we hope to continue like this.”

The goal against Udinese was Quagliarella’s second of the season in a Torino shirt.
